Off to the Pub

After a fairly uneventful day, I'm getting ready to head out to the pub for my first pint of guinness... this could be interesting. Gillian promised I would get "the lie in" (to sleep in) based on how the night goes. I am not sure how much I will like it but I will give y'all my true report later on.

Today we went to see Gillian's school and to the playground nearby so Eoghan could run around. I went running in the park- really pretty, but a complete MAZE while Gillian watched the kids. It was such a pretty run, but there are so many different routes that I had to stop and ask someone directions back to the playground because I couldn't find my way on my own.

Eoghan's doing well on his detox/no-sugar diet. I told Gill that its like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with how much better he acts when he doesn't eat sweets.

I think I forgot to mention that the car they have for me to drive is a STICK SHIFT so not only will I be learning how to drive on the other side of the road, but I'll be driving stick. I guess it'll be good to learn, but makes driving a little more intimidating. Oh and to 'the team'- my car looks like the MRSA VERSA! Ha! I love it!!

I've had about four cups of tea today. I'm lucky I like it because I would feel rude turning it down as much as they offer it here. They thought I was insane when I asked if they drank iced tea. Must be an American thing. Hope everyone is doing well. Jealous that SAVANNAH IS IN CHARLOTTESVILLE!!

Off to the pubs...!!
