Less than 24 hours until I'm on the plane across the ocean. It's hard to believe the time is already here for me to leave. What seemed like a great idea 8 months ago is much harder now that it is actually here. I definitely have a lot to look forward to and I am excited about the time I am about to spend overseas, but it has been very hard to say goodbye to everyone over the past few days.
Packing has been an ordeal. This morning when I went to close my suitcase, it wasn't even close to shutting. I decided paying the oversize baggage fee would be worse than paying for two normal sized bags, so I opted to check two bags and carry-on one. Because I have two connections, I'm expecting my bags to somehow get lost in the transition. I packed for a few days in my carry-on just.in.case.
Everything finally finished up okay with my prescriptions. After about 10+ hours on the phone with the insurance company and the pharmacy, I now have all 9 mos. worth of medicine in my hands. Just when I thought everything was under control, I had to have a family friend who's a doctor call in all 9 mos. worth this morning. Glad that is over with.
Anyway, off to the airport in the morning. Its hard to leave America, but I'm very grateful for the nine months that I'm about to spend in Ireland. I am looking forward to finally meeting the Forde family and seeing the Irish countryside. I will be sure to update yall everyday for the first few days. Love to everyone.
