Eoghan after Spaghetti-Os.. (yikes!)

The cow train
Paddy and William's (Gill's cousins) farm next door
So they have done this "cow train" (to milk the cows) everyday since I've been here, but having no real previous exposure to farming I am still mesmerized by it. On the farm next door (and I assume other ones too..), the farmhand rides the tractor around the field to round up the cows and somehow gets them all to walk back up the path to the milking parlor in a single file line. After they've been milked, they walk single file back to the fields. I am going to upload the video to show you how funny it is!
Kieran's uncle is doing SO much better. He is up and talking now and things are really looking up. Its really unbelievable that they didn't expect him to live through last weekend. Gill and Kieran are still making several trips to the hospital, so I've been watching the kids on my own a lot of the time. They have been great though. I am getting better at managing two kids simultaneously. Katie's easy going behavior makes them pretty easy to handle.
Today, we drove into Mallow and took on two grocery stores. It was fun for me to wander up and down the aisles and see how different their brands are. I've been eating this cereal called "Oats and more" (or something like that) and Gillian has started calling it my Oaty (Otey!) cereal! Its really good and I kind of wish we had it back in America (or "Americamp" as Eoghan likes to call it). Also while at the grocery store, Eoghan came up to me and said "My pee is coming!!!" We had to run outside and he went by a wall. He's just been potty trained, so he's getting better about not wetting his pants. I always find it funny though how unashamed he is to pull down his pants in the middle of public areas. I also get a kick out of how fearless he is when it comes to strangers. While we were in Mallow, he would be walking up near the wall and would be dragging his hand along the wall; most people would take their hand off the wall if they were coming up to a person standing against the wall, but not Eoghan! He just passes his hand right over their knees!
My car is still not ready for me to drive yet. Even though I wouldn't be ready to conquer the bigger roads yet, I am anxious to be able to drive- only to be a little less dependent on Gillian and Kieran. Once they get the car up and running, I will have a little more freedom. They've promised it'll be ready by the day I leave!
PAGE, frat and i (yes she's in nashville) are very thankful for the thrillers that you post on your blog. hope more action packed films are set to come in the near future.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Frat's pee is coming.
How did I know Savannah would seize on that phrase and make it the new "That's G."? Typical.
