David's Fly-bys of Ireland

They did end up putting the poor dog down (!) I was sad about that but I guess its for the better. Eoghan was great today- his eye is black and blue, but he seems to have forgotten about the whole thing.

Today, Eoghan, Katie, and I made a picnic and ate it out in the front yard. It was so fun! It was such a pretty day so we tried to enjoy the weather as much as we could. I was also able to successfully finish (wash and hang out to dry) another load of laundry. I really do miss my clothes dryer though!

While we were out for our picnic, a plane flew over and I said "Eoghan, my brother David flies planes". From that point on, whenever a plane flew over (which was probably about twice a minute), he would scream, "DAVIIDDDDDDDD!!!!! DAVIDDDD!!!!!" Oh my goodness, I was dying laughing. He even did it in the middle of dinner tonight when you could hear a plane outside. He got up from the table and ran outside screaming David's name!! P.S. David, he was very offended you never answered him. How rude! I tried uploading a video of it, but it wouldn't work for some reason.. I'll try again soon.

Eoghan has started to get into running (not really). Tennis shoes here are called "runners", so whenever I talk about going running, Eoghan asks if he can put on his runners and come with me. I came home from running today to Eoghan jogging laps around the yard and a rubberband around his bicep. When I asked him about the rubber band, he said it was his iPod!! HA!

Tomorrow is Kieran's surprise birthday party down at the pub in Killavullen. Kieran's uncle who has been sick gets out of the hospital tomorrow and may try to come down at least for the surprise part. Kieran has absolutely no idea about any of this so I can't wait to see his reaction!

  1. Hey, saw your parents last week at Parent's Night and they reminded me of your blog. I just read all the September entries - so great! Sounds like all is well (hope your throat feels better...I have a nasty cold myself) and that you are busy over there. From what I've read, it seems like this is the perfect job for you. I can TOTALLY picture you doing and saying all those things! Anyway, just wanted to say hi. I will check back for your next entry soon...have fun!!!

  3. Page, your blogging has obviously been very impressive but I have been tickled by the wit and wisdom of your siblings. Sarah's instruction to avoid toddler snot was great and taylors quick question about whether the guys are cute. Ya'll crack me up. I was wondering how do know Kieran doesnt check your blog and know about his surprise party. never put anything on the internet you dont want the whole world to see.
