Then -around 6 PM- Kieran and Gillian's families came over for sandwiches and an endless supply of desserts. Not only did Katie get a specially made cake (like Eoghan's dinosaur), but we also had chocolate biscuit cake, three apple tarts, pavlova (similar to an angel pie), banoffe pie (bananas and toffee- SO GOOD), and cheesecake. Kieran's parents and siblings all have quite the soft spot for sweets, so a dent was definitely made, but I still think we will be eating dessert for the next three weeks. I am going to have to get the recipe for the banoffe pie and the chocolate biscuit cake because both were very good. I have yet to try the cheesecake or the pavlova, but I've heard good things..
This morning when Eoghan woke up he asked if he could have a 'teeny teeny tiny little piece of cake for breakfast'. I compromised and told him if he had some cereal first then he could have cake! So much for the detox!!
