And the countdown begins..

This past weekend, Taylor and I ventured down to Kinsale. Kinsale is on the southern coast of Ireland. I had been there two other times, but- as with Dingle- it was just as pretty the third time 'round. We had a small lunch and then went for ice cream, which we ate by the water. Although I've heard its a scorching 100 degrees at home, the 'hot' low 70s here has everyone outside. Taylor, who's used to the warm Virginia heat, even claimed she was hot last weekend!

Since the weather was so nice, we took the kiddos to the 'small stream' down the road yesterday. The water was still freezing but they had a great time. When we woke up this morning, Eoghan said he had the 'great idea' of walking down to the small stream (again)!

All ready to walk down to the small stream

We were a little embarrassed to take them out of the house in these 'swimming togs' (bathing suits) and Wellies!

Seriously... the outfit...

So I guess the countdown to come home has begun. Taylor and I realized we have less than two weeks left here, which is a completely depressing thing at the same time as its pretty exciting. I really don't know how I'll ever say goodbye to the family and the friends I've made here. While two weeks seems short in comparison to the eleven months I will have spent here in total, its still a good amount of time. We're heading to the Aran Islands and Galway this weekend and then we will have all next week off to do whatever we want, so we're definitely trying to make the most of it!

Katie perfectly content outside eating ice cream by herself

Katie's diaper was sagging just a little bit this morning..

  1. katie's a regular gangsta letting her diaper ride a little low - two points for her.
PS let's talk worldcup. we can't really be too sad, can we? if there's anyone we want to go all the way, it's the Ghana(rhea.) we should meet in that country to celebrate with the locals sometime.
